Job Description:

Position Summary:

Responsible for the overall operation of all Central Pricing functions for Metcalfe’s Market. This position will be responsible for developing and maintaining automation efficiencies, analytics, and reporting to support business leaders in developing and deploying business processes, strategies and policies needed to achieve the organization’s financial and operational goals.

Here’s what you’ll do:

  • Collaborate with business leaders to define and report metrics that support business objectives to drive profitability, growth, and sustained results.

  • Works closely with all Store Pricing Coordinators, Store Management, and Vendor partners to ensure all pricing policies are consistently delivered.

  • Communicates and ensure execution of pricing department staff goals, standards, and procedures.

  • Develop, implement, and maintain tools to extract data from primary and secondary sources and troubleshooting issues of automated processes for the organization.

  • Constructs customized reports and analytics solutions, dashboards and other visualizations that drive business growth, and provide actionable insights.

  • Oversees the data utilized in the organization’s data ecosystem (such as but not limited to SMS, SQL, Storekeeper, AppCard, etc.) and pricing department processes.

  • Determines the best approach for synthesizing various data sources and presenting data models.

  • Act as a liaison with Information Technology and outside vendors to support relevant systems. Assist 3rd party programmers in testing, troubleshooting, upgrading, and installing various databases, software programs, or other. .

  • Responsible for managing, coaching, development and training of the Central Pricing Team, including schedules and time keeping.

  • Continuously upskills to stay current with new technologies, reporting techniques and best industry practices.

  • Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.

Here’s what you’ll need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business, Economics, Data Science, or a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • 3 years experience in Retail Pricing, Data Analysis, Operations Management, Finance, Data Science, or related field.

  • Knowledge/experience with SMS LOC pricing software highly desired.

  • Experience in data analysis, data modeling, and data management principles.

  • Highly Skilled with Microsoft Office Suite required. Advance level of Excel and VBA.

  • Proficient knowledge of Power BI, Tableau, Power Query, Access, Power Automate, Forms, Power Apps, Shell, HTML.

  • Analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to problem solve and recommend solutions.

  • Extremely organized with great attention to detail.

  • Ability to maintain composure under pressure in a diverse, fast-paced and at times stressful environment.

  • Strong sense of urgency, time management and multitasking skills.

  • Ability to make independent decisions regarding department needs and priorities.

  • Excellent management skills with ability to lead, facilitate, motivate and meet deadlines.

  • Exceptional internal and external customer service skills and ability to settle conflict quickly and peacefully.

  • Flexible schedule to accommodate systems upgrades, time-sensitive projects, and high-priority issues. This may include evening, weekend, and holiday hours.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to apply concepts of algebra, retail mathematics, statistics, finance, and geometry.
