Catholic Health Initiatives Radiologic Technologist III in Madisonville, Texas

Overview

As our Radiologic Technologist III at St. Joseph, you will operate a variety of ionizing radiation producing equipment to ensure effective, accurate and timely delivery of quality patient care. Additionally, perform at a higher level of complexity than a Rad Tech II, and may be trained to perform work in one or more modalities (i.e. CT, IR, etc.)

We are offering a $10,000 Sign on Bonus in addition to relocation to new hires who meet the eligibility requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Utilizes innovative customer service techniques to provide a positive patient care experience for the patient and their family. Acts professionally in all dealings with internal and external customers to promote a working environment that focuses on the patient experience.

  • Perform complex specialized tasks associated with the operation of x-ray and/or CT scanners and their related equipment in accordance with prescribed radiation safety procedures. Position patients for appropriate procedure using immobilization and protective equipment as necessary.

  • Assist physician with interventional imaging procedures, starting IV's, and injecting contrast, if applicable.

  • Establishes and maintains lines of communication with all other staff members and Radiologist to insure an effective and harmonious working environment.

  • Communicates effectively with patients and their families about the procedure to be performed in order to obtain information and to offer reassurance.

  • Performs other appropriate duties as required in a competent, professional and courteous manner.

  • May rotate shifts or be in an “on call” status as needed or directed by the organization.

  • Performs other duties as assigned to meet the needs of the organization.

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience

  • Education: Associates Degree, Allied Health or Radiologic Technology.

  • Experience: Two year’s imaging experience.

Required Licensure and Certifications

  • ARRT (R).

  • TX MRT.

Pay Range

$25.18 - $36.52 /hour
