Farm Credit Illinois Strategic Marketing Intern in Mahomet, Illinois

Description/Job Summary

As the Summer Strategic Marketing Intern, you'll have opportunities to learn about agriculture in central/southern Illinois, gain valuable hands-on experience, see a project through from start to finish, collaborate throughout the Marketplace Engagement Department (MED) and Association, and become part of a community-oriented team working to server farmer-members.

Responsibilities/Duties

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Analyzing market conditions and trends

  • Coordinating with the lending and insurance sales teams to identify opportunities

  • Development and execution of targeted marketing campaigns

  • Assisting with graphic design projects and video production

  • Managing and archiving data and collateral

  • Creating social media strategy, curating content, and monitoring results

Required Education

Candidates for an internship position must be enrolled as college students during the Fall 2024 and Spring 2025 semesters with the intent to be enrolled as students in Fall 2025 as well.

Required Qualifications

  • Ability to comprehend and analyze data sets

  • Strong writing and communication skills

  • Knowledge of how social media is utilized to grow followership

  • A familiarity with Microsoft Office and Adobe products

  • High level of accuracy and thoroughness

The Strategic Marketing Intern will start in the Summer working full time 40 hours/week and will include four work-intensive days assisting with the coordination of the Farm Credit Newsroom at the Illinois FFA State Convention June 10-12 in Springfield, Illinois. There is potential that the position could extend into the Fall 2025 Semester.

Farm Credit Illinois' business hours are 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. The internship is based at FCI's central office in Mahomet, Illinois, and summer housing in the Champaign County area is required. Some travel will be required, and mileage will be reimbursed by FCI.
