POSITION DESCRIPTION

Role / Position Title - Inventory Associate

Department/Function - Operations

Country - USA

Region / City (within Country) - Mahwah, NJ

FLSA (Exempt/Non-Exempt) - Non-Exempt

Hours - On site 5 days per week

POSITION SUMMARY

The purpose of this position is to support the warehouse and Customer Service teams in resolving Inventory issues using SAP and other appropriate tools resulting in an enhanced customer experience and increase customer satisfaction. The scope of this position is within all areas of inventory management and inventory control within Glenmark-s- 750 Corporate Drive and 301 Island Road distribution centers.

OVERALL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist Receiving and Operations teams with the investigation and resolution of inventory related issues.

  • Assist Cycle Counting team with investigating inventory related issues utilizing Material Handling Equipment (Cherry Picker)

  • Partner with Customer Service in issuing RGAs and other return issues.

  • Process returns and prepare product for destruction or return to stock partnering with Quality Control and Warehousing as applicable.

  • Partnering with Quality Control to process, receive, and ship control substance materials.

  • Investigating customer shorts leading to resolution and customer satisfaction.

  • Assist Customer Service with inventory related issues and inquiries.

  • Assist Quality Control with inventory issues related to product destruction.

  • Identify opportunities and drive process improvements throughout the warehouse operations.

  • Generate metrics, analysis and reporting around key performance indicators.

  • Assist with Picking and Auditing functions utilizing standup reach forklift, powered pallet Jack during End of Month and End of Quarter timeframe .

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Education

  • HS Diploma/Bachelor-s

Experience

  • 1-3 Years of Warehouse/Inventory Control Experience

Knowledge and Skills (Functional / Technical)

  • Technical Capacity with Excel, Outlook

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Organizational Skills

  • Time Management

  • Working knowledge of SAP Inventory Transactions required.

  • Familiarity with WMS a plus.

  • Experience in the Pharmaceutical and or Medical Device Industry preferred.

  • Ability to work OT and weekends when needed

  • Ability to communicate with external suppliers via phone, email

  • Setup and lead meetings across Glenmark functions and external vendors

  • MHE - Material Handling Equipment certification

Physical demands and abilities

  • The incumbent typically works in a warehouse environment and uses a computer, telephone and other warehouse equipment as needed to perform duties.

  • The noise level in the work environment is typical of that of a warehouse or distribution center.

  • Incumbent may encounter frequent interruptions throughout the work day.

  • The employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, reach, bend or lift up to 60 pounds
