JOB DESCRIPTION: The Medical Assistant works under the general supervision of the Practice Coordinator and clinical supervision of the physician, advanced practice provider or licensed nursing staff to deliver excellent patient care. Job duties include basic clinical tasks, working with patients and assisting the other members of the healthcare team to ensure efficient and high quality care to the patient. The Medical Assistant performs such duties in accordance with established policies and procedures.
EDUCATION:
- Previous experience as a Medical Assistant or Graduate of Allied Health or similar program required.
- Knowledge of medical practice management and/or electronic medical records systems required.
- Previous experience or education in a clinical support role required.
