Title: Senior Engineer Equipment EngineeringJob duties: Work with the equipment suppliers, maintenance technicians, and cross-functional teams on equipment preventive and corrective maintenance procedures for assigned equipment. Set up, maintain GlobalFoundries FDC, preventive maintenance specification, and other quality systems for the assigned tools, and train other team members in the same. Perform yield and continuous improvement activities related to GlobalFoundries’ semiconductor equipment. Train and lead teams with an emphasis on project leadership fundamentals, effective communication and spending justification. Apply chemical vapor deposition equipment engineering skills with solid experiences in resolving tool related challenges to perform formal troubleshooting and hands on support. Improve robust equipment preventive maintenance procedures and methodologies for high volume manufacturing using GlobalFoundries’ statistical tools, DOE techniques, data driven decision making and systematic problem-solving skills. Use lean manufacturing to reduce waste, improve productivity, and use six sigma in Statistical Process Control (“SPC”) and Fault Data Collecting (“FDC”) chart. Support installation of new AMAT Producer equipment as well as sustain existing tools. Drive cost saving initiatives through second sources, direct sources, parts life-time improvement, and PM optimizations. Set up equipment performance KPIs, monitoring and adjustment according to fab goals. Provide leadership and guidance to effectively identify root causes to equipment issues. Responsible for driving resolutions and closures of issues. Train the AMAT Producer equipment technicians on preventive and corrective maintenance and alarm recoveries. Create materials and perform training of technicians working on tools in the area. Maintain tool availability and stability above target, drive improvements for increased uptime and throughput, and optimize preventative vs corrective action downtime.Requirements: Bachelor’s degree or a foreign equivalent in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or similar field, plus 3 years of post-baccalaureate experience in job offered or related role. Requires 3 years of experience in: (1) CVD Teos/Plasma/HDP Equipment and process knowledge; (2) Chemical vapor deposition machines (AMAT Producer semiconductor equipment) trouble shooting skills; (3) Semiconductor manufacturing; (4) Statistical Process Control (SPC); (5) Lean manufacturing; (6) Knowledge of FDC and implementation; and (7) Six sigma.
