Vanguard Business Program Manager, Senior Specialist in Malvern, Pennsylvania

Vanguard's Institutional Investor Group has an exciting opportunity to be a part of our Service Reimagined team as a Business Program Manager, Sr. Specialist! Service Reimagined is a multi-year program that will take our operations to the next level. This program seeks to deploy the latest Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) technology at scale to automate lower value interactions while enhancing the plan sponsor, participant, and employee experience during the moments that matter. This program will focus on a continuous delivery schedule that will encourage experimentation and innovation.

In this role you will:

  1. Manage programs or major workstreams of a broader program. Ensuring that the scope of the program aligns with business priorities and that business value is properly measured for prioritization.

  2. Develop and maintain broad knowledge and awareness of Financial Services industry forces, competition, and trends to act as a trusted advisor throughout the project lifecycle. Monitor financial, legal, and other regulatory environments to ensure projects are aligned with the overall company strategy and market conditions.

  3. Communicate with partners, leaders, team members and management to ensure that requirements and priorities are understood. Monitor project progress and results and submit regular status reports to management and internal and external partners. Ensure the development and execution of business change management and communication plans.

  4. Build and maintain relationships across program partners and proactively foster effective communication between internal and external parties. Drive key decisions to ensure alignment with overarching goals across partners.

  5. Ensure all steps are taken to mitigate risk and maintain control, compliance, audit, and legal requirements. Maintain an appropriate level of technical and business knowledge to support program implementation.

  6. Participate in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.

What it takes:

  • Minimum of eight years related business experience. Minimum of four years project management experience.

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience required.

  • Passion for working in an agile and fast-paced environment.

  • Comfortable with ambiguity and working with new and cutting-edge technology in the AI/ML space.
