Saint-Gobain Central Reliability Engineer in MALVERN, Pennsylvania

What’s the job?

The Central Reliability Engineer will provide dedicated support to all sites within the Siding Products Group to drive improvements in technical reliability and achieve business objectives. This position will work closely with reliability leaders at each site to provide leadership in building foundational systems including equipment identification and prioritization, equipment BOM development, PM strategy rationalization, kitting process creation, breakdown management system implementation, stockroom optimization, lubrication management optimization, and technical training program creation. The Central Reliability Engineer will support plants during troubleshooting and root cause analysis activities for large, complex, and/or chronic equipment failures. This support will include facilitating training on problem solving tools and reliability concepts. The Central Reliability Engineer will also support the group by analyzing division-level data and recommending projects to prevent failures and deliver cost savings. As part of the Advanced Manufacturing team, the Central Reliability Engineer will assist in bridging the gap between Reliability and Industry 4.0 activities.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Deploy foundational reliability pillar tools and methods at all sites in SPG to improve production, audit scores and technical reliability.

  • Facilitate training for SAP CMMS and associated devices

  • Assist plant Mechanical Engineers, Process Engineers, and maintenance department with troubleshooting and root cause analysis of complex and/or chronic failures.

  • Analyze plant and group-level reliability data in support of policy deployment for the group

  • Benchmark Predictive Maintenance technologies and support implementation in plants.

  • Multi-site responsibilities require ability to lead by influence and manage remote teams. Position will require travel for facilitating training, troubleshooting, failure analysis, and leading/supporting projects. Candidate must be able to effectively communicate at different levels, from hourly machine operators to executive leadership team members, and to different teams, including production, maintenance, IT, engineering, quality and process control, and external vendors/contractors

What do you bring?

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering or similar discipline or equivalent experience

License/Certification

  • CRL, CMRP, or equivalent: Preferred

Experience

  • Experience working in a continuous process manufacturing environment: 5-10 years: Required

  • Project engineering: 3-5 years: Preferred

  • Industrial maintenance or engineering leadership: 5years: Preferred

  • Experience working with a CMMS (computerized maintenance management system) – SAP Preferred

  • Experience with Predictive Maintenance technologies

What are our perks?

Certain states require pay information be provided in job postings. The national pay range for this position is $87,500 to $135,500 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.

In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount is 12% of base salary based on company and individual performance measures. The total target cash range (base pay and annual bonus) for this position, is $98,000 to $151,760.
