Leidos Division F&BO Senior Manager in Manassas, Virginia

The Airborne Solutions Operation within the Defense Group at Leidos currently has openings for a Senior Division Finance and Business Operation (F&BO) Manager to support the Airborne Missions Operations as well as the Airborne Integration work located in Manassa and Alexandria, Virginia. This particular opportunity is unique as the candidate will be required to become very familiar with Leidos Special Mission Aircraft. A very exciting opportunity to use your experience to help support the goals and objectives of the finance team.

The ideal candidate will have several years of progressive experience in program finance, financial management of complex organizations, with the ability to think “outside of the box” and a focus on growth of both revenue and profit. The candidate will serve as the financial advisor for all aspects of financial performance to include Revenue, Operating Income, Cash, and Backlog.You will also have overall responsibility for timely and accurately planning, forecasting and analysis of the Division’s performance. In addition to management of the division, the candidate will be responsible for providing business strategy support for Captures in form of development of financial models and business cases. The ideal candidate will have strong collaborating skills with all members of the organization to achieve business and financial objectives.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Advising line management on all financial aspects of their organizational unit including developing and driving financial forecasts and analyzing the organizations revenue and costs.

  • Interpreting operating results as they affect the financial aspects of the business.

  • Evaluating and approving expenditure decisions

  • Identifying operational risk factors that may impact the business performance of the organization.

  • Presenting key business insights and recommendations to achieve the organization’s current and future goals.

  • Making specific recommendations which will result in cost reduction and both profit and process improvements.

  • Manage indirect cost and rates for the organization, ensuring the Operation sustains a cost and rate structure that is competitive for its market areas

  • Provide leadership in new business capture pricing strategies, cost and schedule management, budget development and analysis for the contracts awarded.

  • Direct the establishment and maintenance of a system of business management controls to ensure compliance with contractual requirements, schedules, and financial goals.

  • Interface with senior leadership on programmatic and business-related activities providing recommendations and solutions.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance related degree and 8+ years of relevant experience in Operation Finance. Master's degree strongly preferred.

  • Prior experience in Operation Finance should include Revenue, Operating Income, Cash, and Backlog

  • A strong understanding of financial processes and systems

  • Strong communication skills (written and oral), strong analytic skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities across a diverse portfolio of programs.

  • Experience managing all contract types: Fixed Price, Fixed Unit Rate, Cost Plus, Time & Material

  • Significant New Business Proposal and Strategy Development

  • Experience with Fixed Unit Rate (FUR) contract pricing and technical accounting

  • Experience with enterprise seat management contracts

  • P&L Management

  • Experience bidding, winning, and managing commercial contracts.

  • Significant New Business Proposal and Strategy Development

  • Must have government contracting experience, including leading and managing large financial operations or portfolios.

  • Able to think strategically, lead a diverse team, and grasp a firm understanding of the business goals & priorities and what it takes to execute.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration

  • Experience working with federal government customers

  • New business capture experience

  • Understanding of Leidos policies, procedures and business architecture

Pay Range:

Pay Range $108,550.00 - $196,225.00

Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
