We are currently hiring a special education teacher for a charter school in Alexandria.

Student Ratio is 1.75 to 1 student to staff ratio

We are looking for licensed sped teacher with experience working with students with Autism, learning and behavior disabilities.

Pay: Competitive salary based on experience

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs.

• Manage classroom dynamics and behavior effectively through proven Classroom management techniques.

• Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and other educators to support student learning and development.

• Utilize experience in working with children to create a positive and nurturing classroom environment.

• Implement behavioral therapy techniques when necessary to support student progress.

• Provide specialized instruction in Preschool or elementary school settings as needed.

• Demonstrate expertise in Special education practices to meet the diverse needs of students.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field; Master's degree preferred.

• State certification in Special Education or eligibility for certification.

• Experience working with students with disabilities or special needs.

• Strong ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.

• Passion for educating and advocating for students with diverse learning needs.
