Job Title: Mechanical Systems Senior EngineerJob Description

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Systems Senior Engineer to lead development, research, and analysis of mechanical systems for advanced aircraft. Candidates must have a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and thrive in a fast-paced, research-oriented environment. Responsibilities: - Own the design and analysis of the high-lift flap drive and actuation system on a large cargo experimental aircraft. - Own the design and analysis of the horizontal stabilizer trim drive and actuation system on a large cargo experimental aircraft. - Develop architectures and lay out system designs that will include power transmission components such as transmissions, gearboxes, torque tubes, and ballscrew actuators. - Manage the functional and physical interfaces between the high-lift flap drive and actuation system and the vehicle, as well as between the horizontal stabilizer trim drive and actuation system and the vehicle. - Communicate information about design requirements and performance of the applicable systems between the design team, management, customer, subcontractors, and vendors.
