POSITION: ACCOUNTING MANAGER

Robert Half's Valued Client, a well-run and financially healthy, privately-held Distribution Company, is seeking a talented Accounting Manager to join its team. The Accounting Manager plays a key role within the company's well run finance function, acting as the right arm to the Controller and helping lead Accounting staff. If you are a proven Senior Accountant with some supervisory experience or an established Accounting Manager, this could be the role for you. This is a hands-on, working Manager position that will handle month-end close, financial statement preparation, GL oversite and assist in managing staff accountants and accounting clerks. Or Client is seeking a loyal, ethical candidate with a stable background to match their environment which boasts of great tenure and a wonderful, flexible culture.

Responsibilities:

• Perform balance sheet account reconciliations and analysis to ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial statements

• Conduct month-end close activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and accruals

• Work with outside CPA firm to ensure timely completion of company financial review and tax return and maintain compliance with accounting standards and regulations

• Handle Inventory accounting and analysis

• Participate in budgeting and forecasting activities to support business planning and decision-making

• Provide financial analysis and reporting to support management decision-making

• Assist Controller with oversight of all accounting functions including Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Utilize Accounting Software Systems and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software for various accounting tasks

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of full range accounting experience including Supervisory experience

• Proficiency in ERP Accounting Software Systems

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting

• Strong GAAP knowledge

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• High level of integrity and dependability

• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite.
