Compeer Financial Credit Coordinator Ag Lending in Mankato, Minnesota

Position Overview: This position serves Compeer's internal and external clients by analyzing financial information, completing loan servicing requests and other credit related activities to support Credit Underwriters and the Sales Team. Follows established policies, procedures and best practices to ensure consistency and timeliness of work activities. Provides ongoing servicing and support of special programs such as FSA loan guarantees as needed. Participates in the ongoing design of processes to improve efficiencies, meet credit administration goals and provide overall exceptional service. Essential Functions:

  • Provides accurate financial analysis of client financial information submitted through the OnBase work queue by utilizing various software applications and other related systems.
  • Follows policies, procedures and best practices for consistent analysis of financial information.
  • Inputs and reviews financial and credit related information; compiling data reports and performing credit support.
  • Analyzes cash based balance sheet and earnings statements, completing accrual reconciliation of earnings information when applicable, which is utilized in the credit decision making process.
  • Pulls credit bureau, lien searches and other information to assist in the credit analysis process.
  • Complete financial analysis for FSA guaranteed loans as applicable.
  • Completes annual credit reviews for applicable clients, assesses loan classifications and updates lending systems accordingly.
  • Coordinates credit and loan portfolio administration support such as monitoring past dues, document exceptions, collateral value monitoring, and covenant compliance.
  • Monitors exception reports and works with Credit Underwriting team to update applicable systems to ensure data integrity.
  • Completes loan servicing actions (within delegated Loan Servicing Action Authorities) including partial releases of collateral, loan extensions, loan payment changes, assignments, consents, easements and other credit related activities.

Minimum Qualifications & Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Associates' degree in agricultural economics, finance, accounting, business administration or related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job. Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Exposure to agricultural credit, finance, accounting or other related experience.
  • Knowledge of core agricultural crop and livestock industries and production practices, organization loan products, services, and credit operations.
  • Understanding of credit processing and servicing activities, accounting principles and practices, credit analysis procedures, credit administration, and portfolio management.
  • Knowledge of federal and state (Illinois, Minnesota, and Wisconsin) laws, regulations and compliance requirements specific to the financial industry and Farm Credit.
  • Sound listening, written and verbal communication skills, with ability to communicate at all levels of the organization.
  • Skill in developing and maintaining interpersonal relationships.
  • High level of integrity.
  • Strong problem solving, decision making and organizational skills.
  • Strong computer skills, including MS Office applications and customer relationship management (CRM) programs.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing situations.
  • Ability to remain objective in balancing business needs and risk.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with other teams to achieve goals and represent the business.
  • Valid driver's license.
