Job Title: Plasma Operator

Job Description

Candidates will be doing a mixture of fabrication tasks. They will be working in the fabrication shop, setting up and operating a brake press, shear, drills, plasma table, and more equipment. Candidates must be comfortable reading blueprints and cutting and welding metals according to specifications. Responsibilities include operating fabrication equipment such as break press, drill press, and plasma table; using hand, power, and pneumatic tools for assembly; reading blueprints and schematics for assembly directions; grinding welds to make them smooth; performing visual inspections of products to ensure they meet company standards; operating basic bending or press machines; using measuring tapes to ensure all products meet client specifications; and lifting up to 70 lbs with frequent twisting, turning, and bending.

Work Environment

This is a dirty and hot environment. Candidates will be working in a welding area with a tarp up. This is a small shop with maybe seven welders total.
