Job Description Position Objective: Perform location installation, start-up, service and repair operations on products manufactured by the company in accordance with directives and policies governing such services. Essential Duties/Responsibilities: Respond to and provide onsite technical product support at customer facilities. Work closely with the company and customer's engineering personnel on the technical matters and coordinate their instructions and recommendations during service work. Position, erect, align, level and securely anchor framework to the foundation; position sub-assemblies' units and separate components and integrate their operations; perform fitting, aligning, timing, calibrating and other operations incidental to the mechanical assembly of the product. If required, oversee or perform preliminary or start-up check to ensure operating requirements, test and recheck operations. Make service and repair calls to investigate operating difficulties, diagnose problems and determine reasons, nature of correction, make repairs or adjustments to remedy malfunctions if deviation is the fault of the product. Maintain a sound working relationship and liaison with the customer's personnel to maintain the image of the company and its products. Work from complex engineering drawings and specifications, detailed written and verbal instructions and handbooks. Use a wide variety of precision measuring instruments, e.g., micrometers, calipers, tachometers, levels, and electrical meters. Ability to provide appropriate documentation necessary to gain/maintain access to customer facilities and/or meet all customer requirements. Willingness and ability to travel approximately 60%. Ability to travel globally without restrictions. Provide technical support to the organization internally while representing Field Service. Produce timely and detailed service reports as required. Experience/Skills: 2-6 years related experience and/or training. MS-Office and Oracle experience required. Ability to travel when necessary. US Citizenship required for positions in the North Mankato facility. Education: GED, High School Diploma, Associate Degree preferred.
