Job Description
Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in the Communication Sciences and Disorders Programs.
Develop and deliver face-to-face, hybrid instruction at the Mankato campus, online, and/or at the university's regional locations, as assigned.
Deliver clinical instruction and mentor undergraduate and graduate students providing clinical services on campus and at regional locations.
A typical faculty workload responsibility may include up to twelve (12) credits per semester of instruction.
The successful candidate may need to teach in other areas as assigned and qualified.
May be expected to develop and deliver face-to-face, and simulations at the Mankato campus, and/or at the university's additional locations, including clinical sites, as assigned.
The successful candidate will collaborate with colleagues in curriculum design, instruction and evaluation, and help create innovative strategies for student recruitment, retention, and completion, and expectations as listed in Appendix G of the IFO Master Agreement.
All faculty members are expected to engage in scholarly or creative activity or research, in continuing preparation and study, in contributing to student growth and development, and in providing service to the university and community (see Article 22 and Appendix G of the IFO Master Agreement )
This position will advise undergraduate majors.
This position will supervise/advise graduate students.
Minimum Qualifications
Demonstrated ability to serve a diverse population and apply an equity lens to this position including social justice and/or anti-racism.
Doctorate or terminal degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders or a related field.
Evidence of degree completion by August 1, 2025.
Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and completed a minimum of nine months of practice experience post-certification.
Currently have or eligible for licensure as a speech-language pathologist in the state of Minnesota (through the Minnesota Department of Health).
Experience in teaching university-level classes or related teaching experience.

Demonstrated preparation to teach, advise, and support a wide variety of students.
Demonstrated training and experience appropriate to teach applied courses at the graduate level.

Experience supervising students in field placements.
Demonstrated willingness to work individually and collaboratively as a member of a team.

Demonstrate potential for research, creativity or scholarly activity.
