Through our multi-site network of care, we constantly strive to meet its mission in helping people find their way while educating and empowering individuals to participate in their own care and recovery. *Job Summary* Responsible for oversight of Journey House programmatic activities on assigned shift, including documentation requirements (clinical, colleague performance, patient safety), assignment of breaks, emergency protocols, and the safety of residents and staff working in the unit. * Oversees the activities, daily living, and shift programming for all residents and staff. Makes critical safety decisions in response to patient crisis (restraint, seclusion, calling for staff support) * Administers medication to residents with oversight from a Registered Nurse * Identifies opportunity for and recommends process improvement ideas * In collaboration with Manager, participates in hiring, training, evaluation and disciplinary action process of assigned staff * Two years' experience in the behavioral health field required, five years preferred * Associates degree in a Human Services field * Experience may be considered in lieu of education * At least two years Supervisor experience preferred * Experience working with adolescents preferred * Ability to obtain DCF Medication Administration Certification required * Current Connecticut drivers license and ability to obtain PSL 'A' endorsement preferred * Ability to cover shifts not normally assigned and must have and maintain a telephone number for scheduling * Computer proficiency and keyboard skills required * Strong communication, interpersonal and leadership skills required We take great care of careers.
