AWL Transport, Inc. DBA TLX Senior CDL Class A Driver in Mantua, Ohio

A Senior CDL Class A Driver, may drive with new and less experienced truck drivers to orient and train the new driver to function independently and ultimately drive as a solo Truck Driver. To transport &. deliver freight by driving diesel- powered tractor-trailer combinations or a truck with a capacity of at least 26,001 pounds gross vehicle weight, in both local or national interstate commerce.  Inspect truck for defects & safe operating condition before, during & after trips & submit a written report on the condition of the truck at the end of each trip or tour of duty. Apply knowledge of commercial driving & skills in maneuvering vehicle at varying speeds in difficult situations, such as heavy traffic, inclement weather or in tight loading dock areas. Ensure that all shipping documentation (e.g. manifest, bills of lading, shipping orders or freight bills, etc.) required to move with shipments is available for Inspection & that appropriate paperwork accompanies shipment when delivered. Proper loading & unloading of freight to assure safety & minimal risk of damage to cargo & danger to people. Must be able to sit remain alert with driving for an aggregate period of up to 11 hours. Must be able to shift manual transmission & operate foot pedals. Job Requirements: 

US CDL Class A or Foreign equivalent; 24 months of experience as a truck driver. Must be at least 22 years or older; Motor Vehicle Records or foreign equivalent; In the past 12 months: No more than 2 moving violation convictions, and no more than 1 preventable, DOT recordable loss; In the past 36 months: No criminal history, No more than 4 moving violation convictions, no more than 2 preventable, DOT recordable losses, and in combination: no more than 2 moving violation convictions and 2 preventable, DOT recordable losses; No citations for suspended license, operating while suspended, suspension of 30 days of more( if due to the result of a moving violation), felony use of a motor vehicle, leaving the scene of an accident, fleeing or eluding a law enforcement officer, and reckless operation of a motor vehicle; Prohibited violations within the past 60 months: DUI, DWI, possession of alcohol or drugs in the motor vehicle (public or private), refusal to submit under implied consent, or similar.

Travel Details: The role of a Senior CDL Class A Driver entails traveling to numerous locations on a regular basis.
