Position Summary

Perform complex dimensional inspections of incoming materials, work-in-process, and finished goods using manual and digital measurement instruments per approved Inspection and First Article procedures. The Inspector 3 role is expected to support Junior Inspectors with training, best practices, and investigations.

Principal Responsibilities

• Efficiently perform complex inspections, according to documented processes, for incoming materials, work-in-process assemblies, and finished products for both for R&D and commercial Production.

• Properly complete all quality records created during inspections, following GDP norms.

• Read mechanical drawings and prints, understand tolerances and dimensions, and perform accurate, reproducible measurements.

• Locate materials in warehouse, sample units from bulk lots, and label released materials.

• Participate in process improvement in the laboratory setting, including design of fixturing and automation of processes.

• Review and approve specific Quality records generated by Junior Inspectors and Manufacturing staff.

Education / Experience Requirements

• 2 or more years of GMP/GDP experience required. >1 year in QC role preferred.

• High School Diploma required. AA degree preferred.

Specialized Skills / Other Requirements

• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office Word and Excel required. Familiarity with SAP preferred.

• Ability to read engineering drawings and technical documents in English required.

• Frequently moves boxes weighing up to 50 pounds in order to collect samples and apply labels.

• Must be able to work in appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for a full work day.
