Description

We are offering a short-term contract employment opportunity for an Accounting Assistant in Maple Lake, Minnesota, United States. This role is situated in the finance industry and focuses on maintaining the financial health of our operations. The successful candidate will be expected to handle a variety of tasks, including processing accounts payable and receivable, conducting audits, and reconciling bank statements.

Responsibilities:

• Work on a variety of accounting functions to support the finance department.

• Handle the processing of accounts payable and accounts receivable to ensure all finances are up-to-date.

• Perform regular audits to catch any discrepancies or errors in financial documents and reports.

• Conduct bank reconciliations routinely to ensure accuracy in financial records.

• Manage account reconciliation tasks to maintain accurate financial records.

• Utilize accounting software systems effectively for data input and management.

• Engage with the general ledger, ensuring all entries are accurate and up-to-date.

Requirements

• Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in an accounting role.

• Proficient in general accounting functions.

• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) is required.

• Familiarity with auditing is a plus.

• Must be able to perform bank reconciliations.

• Experience with account reconciliation is necessary.

• Knowledge of general ledger is required.

• Must possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.

• Ability to work well in a team environment and independently.

• Must have a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.

• Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
