Here, you will make an impact by:Developing new product concepts based on customer insights, competitive analysis and 3Ms sustainability commitment.Creating product prototypes and testing them according to performance requirements, developing new test methods as warranted.Verify product performance and customer acceptance.Assemble final product documentation packages and assist in factory scale-up plans.Support intellectual property strategy through invention submissions.Your Skills and ExpertiseTo set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:Bachelors degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institutionTwo (2) years of experience working in a laboratory setting within a private, public, government or military environmentAdditional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:Bachelors degree or higher in Biochemistry, Polymer/Plastics Engineering, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Polymer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related discipline from an accredited institutionExperience in a medical device business or similarly regulated fieldProficient in test methods and data analysis/statisticsExcellent organizational skillsStrong problem solving / troubleshooting skillsExcellent communication and presentation skills (verbal and written)Strong people skills and ability to influence, collaborate, and work with cross-functional teamSelf-directed and internally motivated with proven leadership skillsWork location: Hybrid Eligible (Job Duties allow for some remote work but require travel to Maplewood, MN at least 3-4 days per week)Travel: May include up to 10% domestic/internationalRelocation Assistance: May be authorizedMust be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).Supporting Your Well-being3M offers many programs to help you live your best life both physically and financially. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position.
