Dollar Tree GM Administrative Assistant in Marengo, Ohio

General Summary:

Responsible for overseeing all administrative needs within the Distribution Center. Coordinates and maintains records and reports for the Distribution Center. Supports management staff in assigned project based work.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

  1. Completes and distributes daily, weekly and monthly productivity reports as required for all departments and off-site facilities.

  2. Coordinates services with vendors as needed.

  3. Administers payment for various invoices and expense accounts.

  4. Sorts and distributes correspondence for the Regional Vice President of Distribution. Monitors and assists with incoming telephone calls.

  5. Assists in various projects within the DC office operation.

  6. Maintains office files.

  7. Maintains confidentiality of sensitive information.

  8. Manages the front desk which includes greeting visitors, printing badges and verifying associates have their badge.

  9. Assists with scheduling interviews, collecting applications and printing applications.

  10. Follows set safety procedures and guidelines to maximize personal safety.

  11. Maintains an organized work area and promotes a safe working environment.

  12. Follows all Company policies and procedures.

  13. All other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements Education:

High School preferred. Experience: 2 years administrative assistant experience or equivalent. Must have a working knowledge of Excel and Word, capable of creating and manipulating spreadsheets and must be able to type 25+ words per minute.

Physical Requirements: Able to perform essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation. The Team Member should have adequate fitness level to meet the demands of frequent lifting, walking, standing, moderate climbing, occasional sitting, stooping and kneeling with or without reasonable accommodation.

Working Conditions:

Team Member will work in a climate controlled (office) atmosphere; however there may be frequent exposure to the Distribution Center (non-climate controlled). Team Member may also be exposed to moving mechanical parts or equipment, fumes and airborne particles as regulated by OSHA. Associates may normally be exposed to and required to perform the handling, packaging, processing, storage, disposal or transport of hazardous materials, the operation of a motor vehicle, palletized equipment, machinery or power tools, repairing, maintaining or monitoring the performance or operation of any equipment, where the malfunction or disruption of which could result in injury or property damage, the operation, maintenance or oversight of infrastructure including, but not limited to, electric, gas, and water utilities, power generation or distribution and the extraction, compression, processing, handling, packaging, storage, disposal, treatment or transport of potentially volatile, flammable, combustible chemicals.

Availability:

Team Member will perform shift work and must be willing to work overtime, weekends and/or holidays. Critical Skills Communication Skills: Must be able to effectively communicate with co-workers and management team.
