    SALARY RANGE

    $57,000.06 - $62,700.00. Annually $2,192.31 - $2,411.53 Bi-weekly

    Position Summary

    This is professional position assisting in the development, implementation and monitoring of behavior analysis training programs.

    The Work You Will Do

    Trains and guides direct care staff and residents in the implementation of behavioral services training programs.

    Providing technical assistance to Behavioral Specialists including compiling and displaying data, entering assessments for compilation. Provides oversight and supervision of Behavioral Specialists to become Behavior Analysts.

    Attending meetings of Interdisciplinary Team including, but not limited to, Local Review Committee (LRC), Individual Program Plan (IPP) meetings, active treatment meetings, and psychiatric consultations as a representative of behavioral services.

    Instructs staff in the use of applied behavior analysis principles and techniques.

    Trains residents on expected outcomes and training programs to increase understanding and participation.

    Completes all required training. Complete and maintain approved maladaptive behavior prevention/de-escalation/intervention certification as required.

    Maintain timesheet, ensuring accuracy and submit timely in accordance with policy and procedure.

    Perform other related duties as required.

    Minimum Qualifications

  • Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) with a master's degree in a related field or a Board-Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCABA) with a bachelor’s degree in a related field.

  • Experience in completing Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs) and writing Behavior Analysis Service Plans (BASPs)

  • Preferred: Experience working with the developmentally and intellectually disabled population

    Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

    Knowledge of the theories and principles of behavior analysis.

    Knowledge of functional behavior assessment.

    Ability to administer adaptive behavior instruments.

    Ability to plan, organize and coordinate work assignments.

    Ability to communicate effectively.

    Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others

    Direct Deposit Program

    As a condition of employment, a person appointed to a position in the State Personnel System is required to participate in the Direct Deposit Program. Rather than receiving a paper paycheck, your funds will be deposited directly into your account at your financial institution. This will be accomplished by Electronic Funds Transfer. Banks, savings and loan associations, and credit unions are eligible to accept such deposits. Retirement funds are also required to be in the Direct Deposit Program.

    Background Screening Requirement

    It is the policy of the Florida Agency for Persons with Disabilities that applicants for employment undergo Level 2 employment screening in accordance with the requirements of Chapter 435, Florida Statutes, as a condition of employment or being permitted to serve as a volunteer.
