Responsibilities You will install, adjust, align, troubleshoot and perform final functional and operational tests on variety of major aircraft systems, assemblies, components and prototypes. You will disassemble components/systems and determine the required repairs, reassemble, and reinstall on aircraft. You will be required to overhaul, repair parts, accessories, and components of hydraulic/pneudraulic systems, environmental control systems, flight control systems and vent systems. You will use a wide variety of precision measuring instruments. The Screen-out Element for this position is: I have the ability to perform common tasks: 1) Working with rotary and/ or fixed-wing aircraft systems, including hydraulic, fuel, oil, landing gear, and pressurization systems; 2) Developing labor hours and material requirements needed for the maintenance, overhaul, and testing of aircraft systems and components; 3) Utilizing and operating hand tools, precision measuring equipment, and pressurized systems; 4) Reading and interpreting blueprints and schematic diagrams. Education Additional Information This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program. Several vacancies may be filled. This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required. This position requires rotating shift work.
