Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process Monitoring and Evaluation:

  • Maintain a presence in operational areas to observe processes and ensure compliance with established standards.

  • Continuously assess ongoing processes, identifying deviations and opportunities for improvement.

  • Perform electronic Lean Process Control (eLPC) assessments, documenting any deviations from expected performance.

  • Team Leadership:

  • Monitor and guide operators to ensure adherence to safety, quality, and productivity standards.

  • Facilitate training sessions for operators on processes, safety protocols, and any new procedures introduced.

  • Serve as a role model for operational excellence, fostering a positive team environment.

  • Performance Evaluation:

  • Evaluate productivity sheets to identify disruptions affecting goal achievement and develop action plans to address them.

  • Implement first-level escalation procedures based on defined reaction points when issues arise.

  • Continuous Improvement:

  • Work collaboratively with operators to identify and implement improvements to existing processes.

  • Lead daily improvement tasks aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Test and validate suggested changes to standard operating procedures, ensuring they align with best practices.

  • Documentation and Compliance:

  • Maintain and update the training matrix to reflect the training status of all team members.

  • Track and report on stability measures, ensuring processes are consistently meeting performance metrics.

  • Ad Hoc Responsibilities:

  • Respond effectively to uncommon situations and operational challenges, providing guidance and solutions.

  • Perform other duties as assigned by management to support overall team and organizational goals.

Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or higher in a related field preferred.

  • Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment; prior experience in a leadership role preferred.

  • Skills:

  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and mentor team members.

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

  • Proficient in using productivity and performance tracking tools.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to respond to challenges effectively.

Working Conditions:

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with varying temperatures and noise levels.

  • May require standing for long periods and lifting up to 50 pounds.
