Ridgedale Local Schools Site Coordinator & Attendance Liason in Marion, Ohio

Ridgedale POWER Hours TEAM would like to hire: Site Coordinator & Attendance Liaison: (1 for EL program) ? Up to 29 hours per week, from September-June, including May (40 weeks) ? Can work bulk of hours between 10-5:30 (Monday-TH), except Team meetings on Friday am ? An organized person: recruiting both students and Team members; taking daily attendance (track monthly), making weekly schedule/ lesson plans, posting monthly-view schedules and making phone calls to parents if students are a "no show" ? A person who loves the students and wants to spend time with them, who has a strong desire to impact students who are struggling to find success in school, at home and in their community; spends time analyzing data and recruiting students who would benefit from the POWER Hours program; tutoring specific students with learning gaps ? Finding (or being) the sub when Team members can't work their weekly commitment ? Communication: A person who can communicate well with students, parents and teachers in order to find how to best help students ? A person who can jump in to help the teachers to deal with any escalating behavior issues according to the Handbook guidelines, removing and handling distracting behavior/emotional situations, and then spend time helping that student deal with the issue ? A person who can lead in a fun and firm way to keep the group on schedule, being on site every time programming is going on, being a consistent relationship, authority and face to students ? Culture Care: help the school administration and staff understand what barriers are keeping students out of school (chronic absenteeism) and take steps to help students overcome those barriers (meeting with families, moderating student-to-student or student-to-teacher talks, daily check-ins, small group meetings, etc.) ? ISS/OSS "Re-entry Counseling" to help students improve their school-day attendance ? Paid hourly according to license (Certified $25/hour, Classified $20/hour), able to be on-site during after-school programming (following school schedule) (and sometimes before-school) ? Program hours will be consistent per week when 21st Century program is in session, other Youth Development hours are designed for the next week, can include responsibilities like data entry, Family Engagement planning/events, Licensing/Training requirements, or Culture Care items ? Need to have or able to get a certified license; social work or education experience preferred ? Will need to be open to working on additional training requirements ?
