This position is part of the Commercial Contracts team and will be ONSITE at our facility in Marlborough, MA. At Cytiva, our vision is to advance future therapeutics from discovery to delivery.

What you will do:

  • Lead the USCan and EMEA-based commercial contracts team, responsible for (1) reviewing/negotiating commercial sales agreements, (2) reviewing/approving terms & conditions for purchase orders, (3) bids/proposals support (US only), (4) government contracts & compliance (US only), and (5) contract administration and approvals.

  • Directly manage a team of managers in USCan and EMEA, who subsequently manage sub-teams; Set priorities for the team to ensure task completion and goal achievement; coordinate work activities accordingly

  • Occasionally draft, review, edit, and negotiate commercial customer agreements, such as (but not limited to): sales contracts, amendments/renewals, reseller agreements, and customer requests for proposal, etc.

  • Interpret internal or external business issues and recommends innovative solutions and best practices; assess and lead initiatives to improve contracting processes and tools

  • Ensure compliance to the contracts approval policy and other company policies; solicit buy-in from cross-functional stakeholders

  • Provide training, mentorship, and support to contracts team members

    Who you are:

  • Possess a law degree (Juris Doctorate or equivalent)

  • Have 8+ years’ experience with commercial contract review, redlining, drafting, and negotiation, including local, regional, and global agreements

  • Have 1+ year experience directly managing, mentoring or leading contracts team members and related functions

  • Demonstrated experience (i) using sophisticated analytical thought to exercise judgment and identify innovative contract solutions; and (ii) prioritizing competing demands from multiple sources in a fast-paced environment

  • Demonstrated advanced writing and communication skills with a meticulous attention to detail; English language fluency a must

Travel Requirements:

  • This position requires up to 25% flying and/or driving travel, which includes overnight stays. Travel will primarily be domestic but may occasionally be international.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Prior experience managing team managers

  • Experience in the healthcare, pharmaceutical, and/or life sciences industry

  • Experience using Salesforce.com (SFDC) and/or an SFDC-based contract lifecycle management system
