Job Title: Laboratory Technician III

Job Description

The Center for Biological Innovation (CBI) is a Center of Excellence that utilizes in vitro and ex vivo approaches such as biochemical, cell-based, microbial, and tissue-based assays to support the design, development, and commercialization of products. The successful Laboratory Technician candidate should have appropriate scientific experience to provide the technical support required for supporting in vitro biomedical research studies. This is an onsite position.

Responsibilities

• Supporting in vitro hemocompatibility testing of blood contacting devices at the bench

• Following experimental protocols and executing tasks both independently and with guidance from team members

• Assisting with preparation of data for reporting and presentation

• Optimizing and troubleshooting technical assays

• Maintaining detailed and accurate records

Essential Skills

• 3 years of experience with an Associate degree in Biology or an equivalent combination of education and work experience

• Hands-on experience in one or more of the following areas: cell culture, hemocompatibility evaluation, immunostaining, flow cytometry, and/or microscopy

• Ability to quickly learn new techniques and adapt in a changing environment

• Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task

• Excellent written and communication skills

• Ability to work effectively in a team setting and on an individual basis

• Results and detail-oriented

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) environments

Work Environment

This position is located onsite at the Center for Biological Innovation. The role involves working in a laboratory setting with blood contacting devices and various assays. The work environment requires strict adherence to protocols and maintaining detailed records. The ability to adapt to new techniques and work both independently and collaboratively is essential.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00
