Driven by our purpose to enable healthier lives everywhere, every day, we are seeking a talented and experienced Software Engineer to join the R&D department of our Surgical Division to contribute to new and sustaining product development . This position is located in Marlborough, MA

Responsibilities:

  • Designing and implementing test plans for embedded software systems at Software System and Software Integration Level.

  • Developing and executing automated and manual test cases to ensure the quality of embedded and GUI (Graphical User Interface) software.

  • Analyzing and debugging test results to identify and report defects.

  • Collaborating with software developers to ensure that software is testable and maintainable.

  • Creating and maintaining test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test reports.

  • Participating in design review and providing feedback on software design and testability.

  • Working with cross-functional teams to ensure that software meets system requirements.

  • Proactively driving the testing efforts on NPD and Sustainment projects.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.

  • 4+ years of experience in software testing, preferably in embedded systems.

  • Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies and tools.

  • Experience in Python and shell scripting for test automation.

  • Working knowledge of using oscilloscope, multimeter, and other software debugging tools.

  • Familiarity with Requirements and Test Management tools like HelixALM.

  • Familiarity with Issue tracking tool like JIRA.

  • Familiarity with Graphical User Interface testing.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in the medical device industry (Standards like IEC 62304) is strongly preferred.

  • Familiarity with C/C++ programming

  • Familiarity with Azure Pipeline is a PLUS

Salary:

The annualized base salary range for this role is $84,400 to $131,000 and is bonus eligible. Final compensation packages will ultimately depend on factors including relevant experience, skillset, knowledge, geography, education, business needs and market demand.
