POSITION TITLE: Utilization/QI Manager

STATUS/HOURS: 80 hours biweekly / Regular Full-time Salary /Exempt

CLASSIFICATION: $31.14/hr - $40.66/hr Non-union, Scale 24 Plus full-time benefits

RESPONSIBILITIES: This position is under the supervision of the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and is responsible for supervising, coordinating and directing the work of staff assigned to the Utilization and Quality Improvement Programs. This position will work closely with staff at all levels (including management, clerical, direct care, and Board members) and across all counties to ensure that consumers are provided services in the most efficient and cost effective manner  consistent with quality standards, person centered planning, and medical necessity. This position will also function as the primary contact for all regulatory and accreditation organizations to include such bodies as the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF), Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS), Michigan Fidelity Assistance Support Team (MIFAST) and NorthCare. This position also assists in the departmental budget and planning process as directed by the Chief Executive Officer and has work assignments that cover a multitude of activities that occur in all four counties. 

QUALIFICATIONS: Mental Health Professional who holds at a minimum a master's level license and/or certification with a scope of practice to the clinical area that is the subject of the initial clinical review. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities and/or mental illness is preferred.
