Your Role at KIK
The Maintenance Mechanic will maintain and repair machinery and equipment in our facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for inspecting, testing, and ensuring the proper operation of machinery, as well as performing repairs and installations as needed. The role also involves cleaning, lubricating, and maintaining components of production systems, conducting line changeovers, and troubleshooting equipment issues. This role will be first shift (9am-5pm) and will pay $30-$32/hour, depending on experience.
What You’ll Be Doing
Inspects, monitors, and tests machinery and equipment.
Dismantles defective machines and equipment and installs new or repaired parts.
Cleans and lubricates shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.
Assembles, installs, and maintains pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, and repairs and replaces gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related equipment.
Develops sufficient understanding of all machinery used in the production process to ensure proper functioning procedures.
Adheres to all safety rules and regulations and maintains good housekeeping in all related areas.
Performs line changeovers to different products, including set-up of dilution system to proper specs.
Notifies Production Manager and Plant Manager of any equipment problems. As well as analyzing and resolving equipment problems or assisting others in solving problems in a helpful and timely manner.
What You’ll Bring
High School Diploma or equivalent required; certification from a technical school is preferred.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in the installation, repair, and maintenance of industrial equipment within a manufacturing setting.
Experience with farming equipment or automotive mechanics is preferred but not required.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Proficient in basic computer applications.
Ability to thrive in a manufacturing environment, including the capacity to lift a minimum of 15 pounds.
