You’ll also…

  • Responsible for the quality management of battery core testing (physical and chemical testing, appearance inspection and other professional testing equipment such as CT machine and gas chromatograph), testing standardization, foreign base counseling and construction and other activities;

  • Improve the testing effectiveness of quality testing items (testing method development, testing effect evaluation, etc.);

  • Responsible for improving quality inspection problems (daily data monitoring, problem analysis, setting up projects to promote improvement);

  • Development of detection methods, the improvement of detection efficiency, and the reduction of detection quality costs;

  • Responsible for pulling through the on-site process, equipment, production and other departments to analyze the process problems and promote closed-loop management

  • Follow up on calibration of measuring instruments and equipment, the implementation of calibration and the review of calibration results;

  • Responsible for measurement system analysis, optimization of MSA methods and follow-up of measurement system anomalies;

  • Follow up on the implementation of important measurement system analysis, reviewing analysis reports, and tracking the improvement of unqualified measurement systems

  • Responsible for the implementation of electrostatic protection of production lines, optimization of ESD protection plans and follow-up of ESD anomalies;

  • When measuring instruments and equipment are abnormal, confirm the status of the instruments and equipment, work with process quality to evaluate the degree of abnormality, and track progress.

  • Responsible for the implementation of necessary training to improve the operating skills of internal personnel; participate in the evaluation of new equipment calibration methods

  • Lead QOS initiatives within the department.

• Associate’s Degree in Engineering or related field of study

• 3+ years manufacturing experience in production and Supplier Quality.

• Excellent Leadership and Interpersonal Skills.

• Ability to interact with all employees in the organization.

• Strong communication and problem-solving skills

• Six Sigma Green Belt.

• Demonstrate ability to lead and work as a team

• Strong analytical, problem solving and organization skills

This position is a range of salary grades 6-8

This role will start remote and then will be working hybrid out of Marshall, MI, with expectation to be on-Site at Marshall once building construction and timing is established (relocation package available).

It is anticipated that within 30 days of your employment with Ford, you will become a secondee of BlueOval Battery Michigan LLC. A secondee is an employee who will continue to be employed by Ford Motor Company but work at BlueOval Battery Michigan, Ford’s wholly owned subsidiary. Afterwards it is anticipated that within 8 months of your employment with Ford, you will become an employee of the Ford’s fully owned subsidiary of BlueOval Battery Michigan LLC. The terms and conditions of your employment with the separate BlueOval Battery Michigan LLC company will be communicated to you in advance of your transition to that entity. You will remain an at-will employee at all times during your employment with Ford or any Ford affiliate or subsidiary with which you later become employed.
