Cajun Tex Restaurant Cook - Marshall in MARSHALL, Texas

**Cajun Tex, voted Marshall's Hometown Best in several categories, is now seeking a restaurant cook to join our team.

Job duties may include (but are not limited to) the following:

  • Prepare and provideoutstanding meals for customers in accordancewithpre-set traditional recipes;

  • Weigh, measure, mix, and prep ingredients;

  • Steam, grill, boil, bake or fry meats, fish, vegetables, and other ingredients;

  • Check food and ingredients for freshness and maintain food safety and cleanliness guidelines at all times;

  • Work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment, preparing dine in and to go orders;

  • Ensure that kitchen area, equipment, and utensils are sanitized and clean.

    RESTAURANT COOK REQUIREMENTS:

  • Experience with Seafood, Cajun, and/or Comfort food is preferred, but not required;

  • Prior experience in related food and beverage service and food preparation positions is preferred but required;

  • Possess current food handler's certificate (can be obtained online prior to first day of work);

  • Good working knowledge of accepted sanitation standards and health codes;

  • Ability to use slicers, mixers, grinders, food processors, etc.

  • Must be at least 18 years old due to food processing equipment.
