Aerotek Electrical Assembler in Mason, Ohio

Key accountabilities

  • Assembles and lay out components on a system according to the design specifications.

  • Wires and routes cable harnesses in an electrical cabinet as per the wiring schematic.

  • Hand wiring may be required in some cabinets

  • Verifies and troubleshoots panel boards using a multi-meter to verify continuity.

  • Uses various hand tools, torque tools, screwdrivers, crimpers, cutters and wire strippers

  • Fastens parts together with bolts, screws, rivets or other fasteners.

  • Ability to keep performance standards at a high level. Performance is "work quality and quantity, attitude, ability to work as a team member and communicating in a positive manner".

  • Communicate with the Engineers to clarify any issues or relay any corrections or changes to the electrical design.

  • Responsible for updating shop folder with assembly and test data.

  • Maintains, organizes, and cleans work area compliant with 5S Standards.

  • Overtime may be required for short term or long term duration, as business needs mandate.

  • Other tasks and responsibilities may be assigned as required.

Knowledge and Experience

  • Aptitude to read schematics and blueprints required.

  • Electrical / Panel Building experience preferred.

  • Demonstrated mechanical ability

  • Prior experience in a "technician" role.

  • Possess good communication skills and an ability to adapt to changing situations

  • Ability to perform job to safety, quality and delivery expectations
