Description

We are in search of a meticulous Billing Specialist to join our retail team located in Monmouth County, New Jersey. In this role, you will be tasked with ensuring all payments and store billings comply with the company's financial policies and procedures. You will also be responsible for reviewing and inputting invoices, working with various department heads for approvals, and processing store credits. This role offers a short term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure all payments and store billings are in compliance with the company’s financial guidelines

• Review, compile, and input all invoices received for the necessary authorization before payments and store billings are completed

• Collaborate with merchandising department heads to obtain approval and resolution for all credits, invoices under review and/or rejected

• Track Proof of Delivery (POD) and Credit requests by store on a daily basis

• Manually process over 120 store credits to the store each week

• Timely and accurately process all store requested POD and credits, and communicate these credits to vendors

• Work directly with the IT Department to troubleshoot any EDI related issues

• Utilize your skills in Billing and High-Volume Invoicing to ensure smooth operations.

Requirements

• Must have at least 1 year of experience as an Billing Specialist

• Proficient in Billing procedures

• Experience in handling high-volume billing

• Familiarity with retail industry, preferably in a food store setting

• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in processing invoices

• Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks

• Proficient in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite

• Good communication skills, both written and verbal

• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

• Must be able to maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred but not required
