This is a PERM or DIRECT-HIRE career opportunity. Our client is looking for RN's to hire through us.
Compensation:
Hourly Rate: $30.00 - $47.00 (based on experience)
Potential Sign-On and Relocation discussed at interview
Registered Nurses in Special Procedures are responsible for pre and postoperative assessment, intra procedural monitoring and assisting providers deliver exceptional care.
Responsibilities
Teaching - Employs teaching strategies to promote health and a safe environment.
Relationships - Establishes effective working relationships with peers, physicians, and other members of the health care team. Identifies and confers with appropriate resources regarding patient care decisions.
Planning - Develops a plan that prescribes strategies to attain expected, measurable outcomes.
Outcomes Identification - Identifies expected outcomes for a plan individualized to the patient or situation.
Knowledge - In collaboration with Leader/Director, actively pursues required knowledge and skills through orientation activities specific to the unit, unit based in-service programs, reading current literature and seeking new clinical learning opportunities.
Implementation - Implements care and supervises care delivered by other team members in alignment with the plan of care and approved safety and infection control standards.
Evaluation- Evaluates progress toward attainment of goals and outcomes. Reports data and outcomes to as appropriate to physician and/or other disciplines.
Diagnosis - Analyzes assessment data to determine actual or potential diagnosis, problems, and issues
Provides rationale for patient care decisions based on standards of care specific to department
Collaborates with physicians and other members of the health care team to address issues related to patients through the process of mutual information sharing, discussion, and decision making.
Participates in the ongoing variance monitoring of clinical pathways
Assists with GI diagnostic and therapeutic procedures and performing cleaning of scopes
Performs and assists with procedures including, but not limited to conscious sedation, pain management, IV therapy, blood and byproduct administration, bronchoscopy, minor surgery
Takes call after hours as assigned
Educates patients and families appropriately for their procedures and treatmen
Consistently processes patient charges for procedures and supplies correctly
Consistently documents care and service in accordance with current Plan for Provision of Care, systems (i.e. Meditech) and protocols.
Handles patient phone calls for patient education and/or reassurance needs
Assessment- Collects pertinent data and information relative to the patient's health or the situation. Recognizes normal and abnormal findings when gathering data.
Coordination of Care- Plans and evaluates care in collaboration with appropriate disciplines for assigned patients.
Requirements:
ADN (Required)
ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support W/I 90 Days
BLS or CPR certification within 90 days of hire.
Experience with Gastroenterology, Pulmonology and/or Conscious Sedation preferred but not required.

Physical Requirements
Nurses often work long shifts and must have the physical ability to stand for long periods of time, transport patients by pushing or pulling gurneys and wheelchairs, and lift patients as needed. In addition to these general skills, a Nurse could be expected by potential employers to possess the following skills. Eye hand coordination skills and ability to manipulate objects.
