Dana Corporation is seeking to fill the position of a Sr. EV Application Engineer on our electric light vehicle integration strategy team at our Maumee, OH WHQTC. RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist in all phases of customer BEV programs / projects from customer RFQ to production launch. Facilitate internal communications between Engineering, Sales, Quality, Manufacturing and Assembly for specific programs / projects (voice of customer within the Dana organization). Perform Dana product application & performance analysis for new customer programs Lead in determining and specifying the best vehicle architecture configurations to meet customer vehicle requirements Lead in packaging Dana BEV sub-systems & components into customer chassis. Complete engineering/design requirements/definition for offshore design group. Benchmarking of competitive BEVs and components/sub-systems. Complete customer program PDS, BOM, DFMEA, DVP, ED&T, and support RFQ response. Lead and provide hands-on support of special vehicle builds as well as coordination of special orders. Support Advanced Program Quality Planning and Design Review activities. Develop and lead implementation of BEV component cost savings and assembly process improvement proposals. Attend/facilitate/host customer engineering meetings and help bring open issues to closure. Provide BEV expertise in support of the customer's requirements. Engage with customer engineering community, representing Dana in a positive, ethical, and professional manner. EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS Four-year degree in Mechanical Engineering required. 5+ years of experience in automotive or commercial vehicle industry. Experience in drivetrain/powertrain/chassis engineering or related field is a plus Experience with battery electric vehicles and/or components a plus Basic CAD, CAE, and dimensional stack-up skills Excellent mechanical aptitude Must be a self-directed and motivated individual who is willing to accept responsibility. Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills. Must have excellent interpersonal skills to work with people at all levels within and outside Dana in a professional manner. Demonstrated proficiency using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Project and PowerPoint) and Outlook. Strong organizational skills and able to handle multiple tasks and responsibilities. Must be capable of performing duties with limited supervision. Must be able to handle stressful/pressure situations in a professional manner.
