Utilizes current nursing practices to provide care to pacemaker patients while focusing on the needs of

the patient and exemplifying the service excellence goals of care, concern, respect and cooperation. As

a contributing member of a health care team, develops and provides a comprehensive plan of care for

assigned patients. Recognizes and consistently applies knowledge of Loyola's 14 Magnet Forces

Employment Type: Full Time

Shift: DAY shift, Monday-Friday; Flexible scheduling – 4 ten-hour or 5 eight-hour shifts;

NO weekends, NO holidays, NO on-call

Description:

Utilizing a strong telemetry background, this nursing position provides hands-on patient care in an ambulatory environment performing cardiac device interrogations. This challenging role is ideal for a tech-savvy nurse who will perform pacemaker/defibrillator analysis and, in collaboration with physician partners, program devices to correct values and optimal settings. Excellent communication skills are a plus as the ideal candidate will provide patient education and help teach cardiology fellows, MRI associates and anesthesia staff about the nuances of cardiac devices. We seek colleagues with:

  • Minimum required: Associates degree in nursing; Preferred: Bachelor's degree

  • Required:

  • 2-3 years Telemetry Experience

  • Knowledge of 12-lead EKG

  • Current Registered Nurse License in the State of Illinois

  • Current CPR certification

  • Preferred:

  • Cardiac device interrogation/programming experience
