The Registered Nurse – Practice (RN) is responsible for performing a wide variety of patient care duties which include assisting in examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a physician. Documentation is recorded in the Electronic Medical Record in accordance with IPM guidelines. The RN executes prescribed treatments and medical interventions, administers prescribed medications, and monitors and documents treatment progress and patient response. Delegates as allowed under the Nurse Practice Act. Refers to and consults with physicians, other health providers, and community resources to prevent and resolve problems or concerns. The RN Educates patients and families about health status, health maintenance, and management of acute and chronic conditions.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Interviews patients, measures vital signs (i.e., pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height), venipuncture and procedures as directed by the physician.

  • Prepares treatment rooms for examination of patients.

  • Assists in covering the front desk as required.

    Qualifications

    Requirements:

  • Completion of nursing training from an accredited school of nursing. Minimum of two (2) years of college or Associate’s Degree. BSN preferred.

  • Current BLS/CPR certification required.

  • Current state registered nurse license.

  • Minimum of one to three (1-3) years working as a Registered Nurse required. Three to five (3-5) years of related experience (preferred).
