Job Summary: The Reach Truck and Cherry Picker Operator is responsible for efficiently and safely operating reach trucks and cherry pickers to move, stack, and retrieve products and materials within a warehouse or distribution center. The role requires adherence to safety protocols, accurate inventory management, and effective communication with warehouse staff to ensure smooth operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate Equipment:

  • Safely operate reach trucks and cherry pickers to move and position materials within the warehouse.

  • Perform routine checks on equipment to ensure it is in good working condition and report any maintenance needs.

  • Inventory Management:

  • Conduct regular inventory checks and report discrepancies.

  • Assist with stock rotation and ensure products are stored according to company standards.

  • Safety Compliance:

  • Follow all safety guidelines and procedures while operating equipment.

  • Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensure the work area is kept clean and organized.

  • Report any safety hazards or equipment malfunctions immediately.

  • Communication:

  • Coordinate with warehouse staff and supervisors to ensure smooth operations.

  • Provide accurate information about inventory levels and product locations.

  • Documentation:

  • Complete and maintain necessary paperwork related to inventory and equipment usage.

  • Record and report any damages or issues encountered during operations.

Qualifications:

  • Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

  • Experience:

  • Previous experience operating reach trucks and cherry pickers in a warehouse setting is REQUIRED!

  • Familiarity with warehouse management systems and inventory control practices is a plus.

  • Certifications:

  • Valid forklift operator certification or equivalent experience.

  • Additional certifications for cherry picker operation are preferred.

  • Skills:

  • Strong understanding of safety protocols and equipment operation.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Good organizational and time-management skills.

  • Attention to detail and accuracy in inventory management.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and carry materials up to [50 lbs] as needed.

  • Capability to operate machinery for extended periods.

  • Good physical stamina and coordination.

Work Environment:

  • Warehouse or distribution center setting with exposure to varying temperatures and conditions.

  • Requires standing, bending, and walking for extended periods.

Pay Details: $17.00 per hour
