Summary This National Guard position is for a SUPV HR SPEC (MILITARY), Position Description Number T5650000 and is part of the NJ 108th FSS, National Guard. This vacancy announcement is a Title 5, Excepted Service position. The primary purpose of this position is to serve as the Supervisory Human Resources Specialist in the Military Personnel Flight of a Force Support Squadron or Flight. Responsibilities As a SUPV HR SPEC (MILITARY), GS-0201-11, you will: Advises and provides counsel to employees regarding policies, procedures, and directives of management. Directs all human resources activities and support services for the host Wing and all supported Airmen, including: Career Enhancements, Customer Service, Employments, Relocations, Personnel Systems Manager, Military Personnel and/or Readiness. Advises senior leadership within the organization and across the support Wing on all human resources matters impacting Airmen throughout the Wing. Develops and conducts briefings, point papers Hears and resolves employee complaints and refers serious unresolved complaints to higher level management. Performs other duties as assigned. Position is Telework eligible- Duty location is Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst; the option to telework is subject to the supervisor/branch chief and Director's approval. (Guidance established by NJ HRO-J1) Qualifications GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience, education or training which involves the exercise of analytical ability, judgment, discretion, and personal responsibility, and application of a substantial body of knowledge of principles, concepts and practices applicable to one or more fields of administration or management. Experience using computer and automation systems. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have at least 36 months experience, education, or training involving the administering, delivering, maintaining, advising, and adapting basic concepts, principles, and theories of Human Resources to the unique organizational, management, and mission requirements.
