Robert Half Senior Accountant in Mckeesport, Pennsylvania

Description

We are searching for a Senior Accountant to join our team in a contract to hire capacity. In this role, you will be expected to oversee our financial operations, including accounts payable and receivable, general ledger reconciliation, and budget processes. You will also ensure our fiscal operations align with federal regulations and procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the coordination of fiscal operations, ensuring compliance with federal regulations and procedures

• Develop and maintain a comprehensive system of accounting records, financial statements, and budget controls

• Prepare and present financial reports and analysis on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis to management and board of directors

• Direct the planning, execution, and finalization of annual audits

• Coordinate regulatory reporting and ensure accuracy, comprehensiveness, and compliance with regulatory standards

• Implement a system of controls over accounting transactions to minimize risk

• Oversee financial operations including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), ledger reconciliation, payroll, and cash management

• Participate in the formulation and implementation of financial policies and procedures

• Assist in the budget preparation process, financial forecasting, and risk analysis

• Ensure adherence to financial laws and guidelines

Requirements

• Possess at least 5 years of experience in a senior accounting role

• Proficient in Accounting Functions and General Ledger management

• Knowledgeable in Auditing procedures and practices

• Familiarity with Budget Processes in a corporate setting

• Experience in Non-profit Accounting is a plus

• Ability to Analyze Financial Statements and prepare Financial Statement reports

• Proficiency in Financial Statement Preparation is required

• Public Accounting experience, including Public Accounting Audit, is beneficial
