Maintenance Manager - McKenzie, TN

Allegion is seeking a dedicated and experienced Maintenance Manager to manage the equipment maintenance activities in our McKenzie, Tennessee facility. The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive knowledge of the field's concepts and principles and will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance of cutting-edge production equipment and related systems, including tooling. This role requires a highly motivated individual who is passionate about maintaining high standards of equipment performance and reliability and staying current with the latest best practices and technological advancements.

What You Will Do:

• Maintain and implement a comprehensive maintenance program for our manufacturing facility, including preventive maintenance plans and schedules.

• Manage a team of maintenance technicians, providing guidance and training.

• Oversee the repair and maintenance of all manufacturing equipment, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum productivity.

• Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for specialized maintenance and repair services.

• Monitor and manage the facility's utility systems, including electrical, plumbing, and HVAC, to ensure optimal performance and safety.

• Take responsibility for spare parts management, including maintaining stocking levels and sourcing of parts for critical pieces of equipment.

• Project expense planning associated with machinery repairs to ensure budgetary compliance and effective resource allocation.

• Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.

• Stay updated on industry best practices and technological advancements in facility maintenance and recommend improvements or upgrades as needed.

• Utilize skills to assist in hands-on problem-solving when necessary.

What You Need to Succeed:

• Typically requires a bachelor's degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field.

• 3+ years of proven experience as a maintenance manager in a manufacturing facility with comprehensive knowledge of the field’s concepts and principles preferred.

• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.

• Experience in leading and directing the work of other employees and has full authority for personnel decisions.

• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

• Proficient in using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and other relevant software.

• Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures in a manufacturing environment.

• Programming knowledge is not necessary but is preferred.
