Creative & Content Manager

The Talent Brand & Marketing team helps inform and educate prospective talent, partners and our associates about life at Capital One, including our distinctive company culture, values and commitments to changing banking—and the communities around us—for good.

We’re looking for an experienced Creative & Content Manager who will help set the content and creative direction for all talent marketing and branding initiatives, ensuring alignment with the company's overall vision and objectives.

In this role you will:

  • Work closely with a team of copywriters and designers in a highly collaborative team environment to create visual assets (including decks, graphics, email templates, and more) for go-to-market (GTM) and ongoing product (lifecycle) marketing. This will include partnering with the Brand Creative team and agency partners to execute high-quality creative across channels.

  • Oversee the creative development and execution of everything from large-scale, multi-channel campaigns to smaller, one-time projects in partnership with Marketing Strategists.

  • Possess a deep understanding of agency and partner creative processes to enable effective planning, scheduling, and management of work to enable clear prioritization and deadlines are met.

  • Implement efficient brand governance processes and guidelines that builds partner autonomy and enables them to bring our brand to life with consistency and creativity.

  • Ensures all assets demonstrate consistency with our brand style guide with a keen eye towards templatizing common materials.

  • Develop and administer a repeatable, efficient quality control process to provide oversight of the brand related work, ensuring all content is aligned with brand guidelines and effectively communicates our editorial message.

  • Evangelize content strategy best practices and facilitate content alignment and efficiency through a centralized and coordinated methodology for content lifecycle management.

  • Ensure the content strategy aligns to prioritized messaging, partnering with enterprise communicators, and harnessing the voice of our associates to elevate our brand authentic storytelling

You will accomplish these outcomes through the following responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of content and design specialists who produce all copy, creative, online and offline brand assets to support commercial growth, talent acquisition and brand equity.

  • Manage the entire content creation lifecycle, including strategy, copywriting, creative, management, measurement, reporting and optimization.

  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams at Capital One and creative agency partners to support digital, demand and creative efforts.

  • Present our creative work to both internal and external stakeholders, showcasing the talent and hard work of our team.

  • Lead all creative and content planning, scheduling, and delivery of work across multiple agency and partner groups.

  • Have creative leadership skills to inspire and guide our team of three creatives to reach their full potential.

  • Have experience managing the creation of diverse content types, including articles, SEO, videos, (both long form and short-form), infographics, sell sheets, and more, ensuring consistency and quality across all platforms’.

  • Have demonstrated experience taking work, such as content for marketing campaigns and product launches from concept, thru design, to final execution on time, and on budget, to produce results.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or military experience

  • At least 5 years of communications experience

  • At least 4 years of experience with journalism, content creation, editorial, or creative direction

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with content creation for cross channel experiences

  • Comfortable working with a variety of business partners and delivering outcomes
