We are seeking an Associate to join our growing Ethics & Compliance team. Guidehouse’s Ethics & Compliance team is part of the Office of the General Counsel and is focused on advancing and fostering integrity-based decision making, promoting compliance with external regulations and internal policies, and supporting internal investigations. This role reports to the Director of Ethics & Compliance. This is a hybrid role that is based at our Corporate Headquarters in McLean, Virginia.
What You Will Do :
This role will provide legal operations support which will include ongoing tasks such as managing subpoena responses, issuing legal hold notices, Ediscovery/litigation support, invoicing, and managing email correspondence.
This role will also provide support to the Company's Ethics & Compliance (E&C) team by performing special projects as assigned. Examples of possible E&C team support include:
Communications: Assist in the development and execution of a company-wide communications strategy designed to increase employees’ awareness and understanding of their ethics, governance, and compliance obligations. This includes items such as supporting the quarterly ethics newsletter and maintaining team project and intranet sites.
Training: Support employee compliance training (such as on the Code of Conduct) including development and assignment of courses, monitoring completion, and delivering in-person training as needed.
Policy Management: Help manage the policy review process and advise business teams on the policy framework and required approval processes.
Conflict of interest Reviews - assist with first level conflict of interest reviews from employees
Investigations: Provide support on internal investigations
What You Will Need :
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
This is an entry level position. No prior professional experience is required.
Proficient with Microsoft Office suite including PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing across all levels of the organization.
Strong organizational skills
Ability to work on a variety of projects simultaneously, with strong attention to detail
Able to demonstrate integrity and commitment to the highest ethical standards and personal values, including the ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
