KPMG is currently seeking a Managing Director to join as our Business Process Groups Data Officer.

Responsibilities:

  • Report to the Chief Digital Officer; forge and enhance a data strategy that aligns with the firm's goals and objectives and aligns with KPMG global strategy

  • Directly manage data strategy and standards, in addition to data governance, architecture, privacy and third-party data management

  • Lead the design and implementation of data governance frameworks, policies and procedures to ensure data integrity, security and compliance

  • Govern and coordinate a federated data management environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize data-driven initiatives that drive business growth and operational excellence

  • Provide strategic guidance and insights to firm senior leadership on innovation, emerging trends, technologies and best practices in data management and analytics; drive the development and implementation of data analytics tools, platforms and infrastructure to enable advanced analytics and reporting capabilities

  • Exhibit leadership and initiative, educate and evangelize for a data-driven organization as well as collaborate effectively with colleagues, with a strong focus on continual improvement, helping to build a leading platform which best drives profitable growth for the firm

Qualifications:

  • Minimum fifteen years of recent relevant work experience; familiarity with leading a governance function

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration or Engineering from an accredited college/university; master's degree preferred

  • Deep domain experience, spanning vendor technologies, data warehousing, quality and governance, Metadata, Master Data Management, Data Quality Tools; establishing data lineage in a traditional structured and Hadoop data lake environments

  • Demonstrated analytical, planning, organizational and execution skills along with excellent interpersonal skills with strong collaboration and teaming

  • Ability to think/conceptualize independently and creatively, quality control and attention to detail, and business judgment and ability to synthesize, analyze and extract implications and drive action
