Principal Associate, Process Management - Business Cards & Payments

As a Principal Process Manager in BC&P, you will support the BC&P Data Program Office by working with extended teams across the enterprise to manage and improve our business processes. In this role, not only will you lean into your analytical and problem solving skills by developing and deploying innovative solutions to mitigate risks to the company, but you will also grow your strategic and influencing skills as you create and implement well-managed strategies that enable BC&P to continue to be well managed while improving efficiency and control effectiveness.

This individual will lead and engage in critical organization initiatives and projects and must be able to effectively communicate across BC&P teams and influence partners across multiple functional areas, including multiple levels of the organization. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to adapt to a dynamic environment are essential to succeeding in this role. The Process Manager will drive and motivate others in delivering flawless execution of process improvement projects and reporting requirements while collaborating on project teams and broader enterprise initiatives to represent business for changes that may impact department processes.

What You'll Do:

  • Partner with Manager to build and manage the process excellence and well managed work across BC&P and partners

  • Identify process improvement opportunities and implement them through collaboration with Business Risk Offices, and business division teams

  • Promote strategic vision and execute tactical operations to enhance the well-managed culture across BC&P

  • Proactively engage team members and project leads to ensure system changes or enhancements consider process excellence, well-managed processes, controls and standards before implementation

  • Identify opportunities and work with business stakeholders and partners to embed well-managed practices into our daily operations and business processes across the organization

  • Utilize data analysis to conduct process improvements in helping drive efficiencies throughout the organization

  • Generate insights via metric pattern recognition to develop & influence horizontal BC&P process improvements, working with immediate team & stakeholders to implement improvements

  • Strong ability to facilitate sessions with Business SMEs that result in outcomes that enable clear understanding of the process, risks and controls associated with a given process

  • Maintain formal process documents (e.g. procedures and diagrams), and document processes and projects (creating project reports, presentations, business cases, and diagrams etc) as needed

  • Collect, analyze and measure process data to compile reports as required for senior leadership; review data for process trends and gaps that may require additional review

  • Perform quality assurance checks to ensure accuracy, which informs leadership reporting to enable prioritization decisions.

  • Understanding customers’ needs of the process and drive process improvements

  • Acting as a subject matter expert to effectively partner with project customers to achieve desired outcome or improvement by clarifying needs and providing appropriate solutions

An Ideal Candidate:

  • Has experience in project management and process improvement; can leverage data and customer insights to identify opportunities to drive significant improvements to the customer experience and to drive efficiencies

  • Is technology fluent (or conversational) and has the ability to quickly learn complex products or platforms through hands-on experience

  • Has excellent communication and partnership skills, to provide subject matter expertise when interacting and communicating with key stakeholders at all levels across the company, to manage, inform, and influence outcomes

  • Is extremely organized, with great attention to detail

  • Has endless curiosity; there’s always something else to learn

  • Builds strong relationships, influences across levels and functions, and delivers great results through others

  • Has strong problem solving skills

  • Has a sense of ownership in their work, their team’s success and the customers they serve

Basic Qualifications:

  • At least 3 years of experience in Process Management or Project Management

  • At least 3 years of experience designing, building and managing internal business processes

  • At least 2 years of experience working on cross-functional teams or on cross-functional projects

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or military experience

  • 3+ years of experience in Project Management, Process Management or Risk Management

  • 2+ years of experience presenting to senior leadership

  • PMP, Lean, Agile or Six Sigma certification

  • Business Process Management certification

  • Experience analyzing data and influencing others to proactively identify data risks and trends

  • Experience proactively monitoring Finance Tech compliance, resiliency and Identity Access Management metrics
