Clark Construction Group, LLC Summer Associate - Project Controls - Northern Virginia in McLean, Virginia
The Summer Associate - Project Controls role provides an opportunity to immerse yourself in the Clark organization and construction industry. In this role, you will apply your learning to help advance the financial health of Clark projects. Hone your skills and build experience supporting projects ranging in size from $20 million to $1 billion in contract values.
Responsibilities
Project Accounting & Administration
Compiling owner requisition
Internal audit finding resolution
Subcontractor requisition processing
Accounts payable processing
Consumable materials purchasing
Management of field payroll
Equipment inventory monitoring
Assist with project setup and closeout
Owner contract review and readiness
Lien waiver & insurance administration
Small Business Tracking & Reporting
Project Finance
Support monthly project financial forecast
Prepare monthly cost reports
Key performance indicator monitoring
Process innovation and improvement
Project cash-flow monitoring and forecasting
Change Order Monitoring & Reconciliation
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Construction Management, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or other business-related field
Highly motivated individual with strong organizational and time management skills
Strong quantitative, analytical and problem-solving skillsUndergraduate degree in construction management, engineering, safety, business or a related field
Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Preferred Qualifications
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Careful attention to detail and reliability of output
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced team environment
Experience with SAP, Textura, Coupa, or Google platforms a plus
Summer Associate Program Overview
Our summer associate program provides a realistic view of what it’s like to work at Clark through meaningful, hands-on experiences. Our goal is to provide you with countless opportunities for learning, growth, and career development, and we are committed to delivering an exceptional experience both professionally and personally. In addition to gaining valuable hands-on experience, you will have the opportunity to build relationships throughout the organization through activities such as socials, jobsite tours, community service, and company events.
The summer associate program is a full-time program (minimum of 40 hours per week) that starts in late May or early June and typically runs about 8-10 weeks in length. Summer Associates are eligible and encouraged to work overtime during their time at Clark. Clark offers positions at its offices and jobsites throughout the country.

Employment Information
Construction work requires strenuous physical activity. The essential functions of this job include, but are not limited to, walking on uneven surfaces, climbing several flights of stairs or ladders uninterrupted, working at extensive heights, lifting 50 pounds, repetitive lifting, working a minimum of 40 hours per week, working outdoors as required, seeing with clarity (naturally or with correction), having accurate depth perception and acceptable peripheral vision, and hearing sufficiently (naturally or with correction) to respond to verbal instruction, warning bells, and alarms.
