Description

Samantha Younes is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Lead to oversee and manage the Accounts Payable department for one of her clients. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and possess strong leadership skills to effectively guide a team in executing all aspects of the accounts payable process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the Accounts Payable team, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to ensure efficient and accurate processing of invoices and payments.

  • Develop and implement best practices and procedures to streamline the accounts payable process and improve efficiency.

  • Oversee the full cycle of accounts payable, including invoice verification, coding, approval workflows, and payment processing.

  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as relevant accounting regulations.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Finance, Procurement, and Operations, to resolve issues and optimize processes.

  • Perform regular reconciliations of accounts payable transactions and maintain accurate records.

  • Prepare and analyze accounts payable reports and metrics to track performance and identify areas for improvement.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for vendors and internal stakeholders regarding accounts payable inquiries and escalations.

  • Participate in the month-end close process, including accruals and reconciliations.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, with experience in full-cycle accounts payable processes.

  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks) and Microsoft Excel.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders at all levels.

  • Demonstrated leadership abilities, including the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.

  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements and compliance standards.

  • Certification such as Certified Accounts Payable Professional (CAPP) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is a plus.
