Description

We are in search of an Accounting Manager to join our client located in MECHANICSBURG, Pennsylvania. The primary role of this position is to ensure the financial procedures, records, and statements are compliant with laws and regulations. In addition, you will be responsible for overseeing the development of the accounting team.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee all accounting and bookkeeping functions, which includes the accurate recording and tracking of all receipts and disbursements activity.

• Monitor accounts receivable and accounts payable to ensure timely payment of vendor invoices and collection of payments.

• Execute month-end closing procedures, which include monthly balance sheet account reconciliations, preparation and recording of adjusting journal entries, and research and resolution of discrepancies as needed.

• Prepare monthly financial statements and other financial reports.

• Provide analysis of financial information and recommendations for action to leadership.

• Oversee, mentor, and direct accounting department staff.

• Process and record payroll.

• Participate in ad hoc projects and Accounting department initiatives as required.

Requirements

• Prior experience as an Accounting Manager or Supervisor

• Excellent organizational and leadership abilities

• Attention to detail and problem-solving capability

• Bachelor in Accounting, Finance or relevant field is preferred
